Diagnosising your problem

Skin disorders can occur in different forms and with different symptoms.  Dr. Applebaum can help determine the type of skin disorder and provide proper treatment.

  • Hives: Occurs spontaneously or continuously over any period of time. Can be associated with chronic underlying conditions, infection or untreated environmental and/or food allergies.
  • Eczema: Often seen in infants and young children as the initial sign of allergic disease. It may also present as dry skin/patches without overt rash. Commonly associated with food allergies and asthma.
  • Angioedema: Swelling of soft tissue that may occur in association with other skin disorders or in isolation. It may become life-threatening if untreated.
  • Skin rash: May present in various forms with or without itching anywhere on your body. It's often associated with adverse reaction to medications, food or the environment, including pets.
  • Itching: May occur even without rash and may indicate underlying inflammation of the skin tissue.
  • Persistent acne, breakouts and rosacea
